Wagnerian Facebook: Barry Millington welcomes an exemplary catalogue of photographs of the composer

Having originally conceived a comprehensive catalogue of all Wagner portraits – paintings, drawings, prints, busts and caricatures, as well as photographs – Gunther Braam was forced to change course during the gestation of his book. Stood up by his publisher after three years of collaboration, Braam took his project to ConBrio Verlag, at which point the decision was made to limit the scope to photographs.
